Simi Kamal
Chairperson
Ms. Simi Kamal is the Founder and Chairperson of Raasta Marketing Research and the founder and Chief Executive of Raasta Development Consultants. With relevance to marketing research her expertise includes design and development of marketing research studies, evaluations, training, institutional development and human resource development. She holds Bachelors (Hons) and Masters Degrees from the University of Cambridge, and has had 20 years of work experience in England, Pakistan and several other countries.
She has special interest in social development, social communication and information themes, marketing, poverty, reproductive health and health.
Ms Kamal has to her credit over 100 research and training assignments and postings as team leader and senior team member covering long and short term research and marketing research studies, institutional development projects, missions, evaluations, training programmes and advisory services. She is the author and co-author of over 120 research studies, and evaluation reports, handbooks and training modules (several in print) and over 450 articles and papers, published in Pakistan and abroad.

Zia Niazi
Managing Director
With a Masters degree from the University of Karachi, Ms Niazi is currently Managing Director at Raasta Marketing Research. She leads the RMR team in designing, developing, conducting and reporting on qualitative and quantitative marketing research studies as well as developing policies, strategies and programmes based on the output of these studies.
In addition to research, Ms Niazi is also very much active in the education sector. She has wide ranging experience in education, communication and training, including development of modules and training materials, conducting of workshops and evaluation of training and educational materials and programmes. She is an Executive Member of the Book Group that develops reading and training material in Urdu for primary and secondary school children. She has twelve years of teaching experience, curriculum development, and teacher training and was, for several years, a faculty member of the Department of International Relations, University of Karachi.
She has led over 40 research, marketing research and evaluation assignments all over Pakistan and regularly participates in international and regional conferences, symposia and workshops.

Rizwan Baig
Manager, Data Processing and Reporting
With a Masters Degree in Geography from the University of Karachi (and currently completing a second Masters Degree in Applied Social Research Methods and Statistics at the London School of Economics, UK), Mr Baig is Manager, Data Processing and Analysis Unit. His expertise includes the conducting of surveys, data processings, analysis, data presentation and reporting. Mr Baig has extensive experience in both qualitative and quantitative data collection and processing especially in the area of health, reproductive health, education, poverty, and rural development in both urban and rural areas of Pakistan.

Jeannette Vargas Faruque
Marketing and Networking Manager
With a Bachelors Degree in Management from the University of Bogota, Colombia, Ms Faruque is currently Marketing and Networking Manager at Raasta Marketing Research. She has considerable experience in research studies involving design and development of primary and secondary data research, analysis and report writing. She also has special skills in computerized data compilation, graphics, flow diagrams and data presentation. Her responsibilities include designing, developing and coordinating marketing strategies for RMR and also coordinating marketing research studies.
She has worked with UN agencies and International NGOs in Columbia and Pakistan and International relations has been a substantial component of her work experience. She has also conducted workshops, evaluations, assessments and appraisals.

Jodah Rafiq
Coordinator, Field Unit, North
With a Masters degree from University of Karachi, Ms Rafiq is Field Coordinator (North) of Raasta Marketing Research, based in Abbotabad to cover research and marketing studies in the provinces of Punjab and NWFP. Her main responsibilities include the design and analysis of field-based research, marketing and evaluation activities. Her special areas of interest are designing, pretesting, developing and finalization of qualitative and quantitative instruments and field supervision of market research studies.
Her other areas of interest are environmental issues, health and reproductive health and related perception studies. She is also involved in community-based approaches and geographical explorations of social problems. She has previous work experience as a Client Executive in Marketing Research Department of Lever Brothers Pakistan Limited and with Raasta Development Consultants.

Iftikhar Ahmed Channa
Coordinator, Field Unit, South
With a Masters degree in Business Administration from the University of Sindh, Mr Channa is Field Coordinator (South) at Raasta Marketing Research where he covers the two southern provinces of the country. He has a wide range of experience in coordinating and organizing, supervising and quality control in both qualitative and quantitative studies. He has had extensive experience in tabulation and data compilation of both qualitative and quantitative studies.

Shazia Usman Ilahi
Coordinator, Design and Analysis
With a Bachelors degree in Economics from Mount Holyoke College (USA), Ms Ilahi is Coordinator of the Design and Reporting Unit of Raasta Marketing Research and also specializes in evaluation, analysis and financial management. Her expertise include analyzing of financial status of companies, industry analysis, evaluating financial projections, budgeting and forecasting, economic research and analysis. She has extensive writing and research experience. She has been involved in credit analysis, and mobilization of resources from financial institutions, management and interpersonal skills, and related themes.

Ali Rehman
Accounts Officer
With a Bachelor's degree from the University of Karachi, Mr Rehman is responsible for RMR's account management and other related financial functions of the company. He is also responsible for the daily administrative matters of the office.
This group of professional, full-time staff is assisted by several junior support staff at all locations, and frequently supplemented by interns and trainees.
